Inspiration:

When I saw the giraffes during a recent visit to Kragga Kamma in Port Elizabeth, I thought they were beautiful and unique. Their long necks and spots stood out to me, and that’s why I wanted to try and paint one.

Artist Bio:

My name is Annemie Bester, and I am 12 years old. I am in Grade 6 at Victory Christian School. I have loved drawing and painting since I was very young, and I have a great passion for creating art. Animals are my favourite subject to draw and paint.

I enjoy experimenting with different materials and techniques, but my favourite medium at this stage is acrylic paint. Art gives me the chance to be creative and doing an activity that I really love
