Jeffreys Bay ARTi Competition 2025

Rules to Enter

1. Theme

"Neighbourhood Lens"

Let your imagination go and artistically express your view of everyday life and experiences as a local of the Kouga area.

2. Entry Fee

R150 per artwork entered.

You may enter as many artworks as you like.

3. Competition Dates

Registrations may open on 1 April 2025 and Submissions open on the 1st of May 2025 and close on the 31st of July 2025.

The Gala event where the winners will be announced will be on the 27th of September 2025.

4. Prizes

The prizes and sponsors will be announced soon. They will be made up of cash prizes as well as goods, vouchers and services.

Prizes are awarded to the Top 3 winners in every category as well as selected Special Awards.

5. Who may enter?

All ages from 6 to 100 years may enter the competition.

Only residents of the Kouga area may enter.

6. Categories

There are three Main Categories: Primary School, High School & Adult.

There are two Sub Categories: 2D Art & 3D Art.

7. Mediums allowed

a)       2-D Category: Painting in oil, acrylic, watercolour and mixed media
with gold leaf etc.

2-D Category: Sketching in
graphite, charcoal, pastels, ink etc.

b)       3-D Category: Sculptures in any material and 3-dimensional artwork.        
Sculptures, if chosen as a finalist, a plinth should be provided.       
Wall hanging 3d art, in any medium.

8. Size Requirements

2D artworks:

A0: 841 x 1189 mm

A1: 594 x 841 mm

A2: 420 x 594 mm

3D artworks:

Must not weigh more than 50KGs

No larger than 0.8m x 1m x 2.5m

The Jeffreys Bay ARTi Competition is an art competition for the residents of the Kouga area.

The revenue from the entry fees will go towards the Wavepoint Foundation.

Since launching in 2020, Wave Point Foundation has uplifted, impacted, and empowered the lives of people in Jbay through feeding 1000’s during COVID 19, the surf leadership and education program that reaches 70+ young surfers weekly, the food-sustainable garden project, and the outreach to young people who are involved in gangsterism, aims to bring a lasting change to the local community.

Making Dreams Come True in Africa NPC

J-BAC works alomgside Making Dreams Come True in Africa NPC, enabling sponsors to receive a tax return on any cash donations that they make towards the prizes of the J-BAC - which is ultimately the vehicle to raise the funds for the Wavepoint Foundation.
