About this piece: 

The woman in Vermeer's painting has a Hopeful look in her eyes. I saw myself in her eyes. Mankind seems to be deaf to my words at times. I now communicate with my eyes and my thoughts, and I approach my spiritual animal which is my path to hope. 

About the Artist: 

I am a South African artist currently situated in Cape Town.

My journey ignited when Karen Zoid asked me, during a live painting session, to do a collaboration. A few months after having the honor of spending a few moments of my life with Karen. Along came Tolly Parton, where we collaborated on a painting that was donated to charity, was when I knew I had something different that had to be seen, so I changed my approach towards art.

I painted every single day of the week for about a year, watching other, learning from the best, embracing my inner Monet. I understand that the journey is more important than the destination, art makes me love better, Art is love, and people need love.
